Overall Satisfaction with ApptioOne

We use Cost Transparency to cost IT Services and then the Bill of IT to chargeback those services to the different business units.
  • Flexible reporting platform
  • Consistent operational performance
  • Great product support and partnership
  • Limits on report structures - some things we still have to create with an extract
  • Cannot perform detailed cost modelling for technical services AND provide business service reporting and costing in the same model in my experience
  • Expensive in my opinion.
We use the data ingestion. Great service allows us to manage data quality before data is loaded into the model for processing. We do not use the tool for forecasting
  • Greatly improved relationship with our business units - "This is the data we have always wanted about IT spend."
  • Great infrastructure cost improvements - we provided data to the technical owners and they could take it from there.
  • Currently working to make our application portfolio more streamlined. Flexible platform allows us to add new datasets not currently available elsewhere in our environment.
Great partnership. We bring challenges and they help us resolve them. We are doing things that the ApptioOne team has not seen before and they love to jump in to help us solve issues. Customer success managers help connect us with other companies trying to do the same things, We learn a lot from each other.
We had a home-grown tool. This one is so much more robust and reliable.

Great for IT Service costing and fast compute times allow us to use it within our month end close window.
We had to choose to structure our model on Business Services but we also have to support technical service costing. To support both we have to create a second model.
