Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Aptible Deploy is an environment and application deployment PaaS that increases the efficiency of provisioning, log generation, and monitoring integration. It also provides activity reports for each environment and automatic vulnerability scanning for most OS packages of Linux distribution. The scanning also extends to compliance situations such as HIPAA and HITRUST. Overall, I would highly recommend this product for those in the health application development space that need a streamlined option for efficient provisioning and operational support.

Alternatives Considered

IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)

From my experience with the Virtual Private Cloud, Aptible Deploy is easier to work with from both a visual and command standpoint. There is much better documentation, and the product is more intuitive. Log setup is also easier for LogDNA and NewRelic integrations. I do believe the IBM Cloud toolchain service still allows for more customizability, but that comes at the cost of simplicity and ease of use. It is also a significant positive for Aptible Deploy that compliance is constantly monitored, with clearly included guidelines on how to meet the respective protocols.

I would recommend Aptible Deploy to my colleagues because of its responsiveness and efficiency for environment and application provisioning. The product is extremely useful for creating health applications due to its built-in security and compliance protocols for HIPAA and HITRUST. The automated database backups were also a nice touch for failover scenarios, as is the included horizontal scaling. The horizontal scaling automatically defaults toward high availability as well.

Aptible is automation, intuitive UI, and HIPAA compliance all in one!
