Overall Satisfaction with Audacity

I use Audacity a lot for the editing of podcast audio as well as audio that supports video files.
  • Very intuitive
  • Free to use
  • It takes a while to get the hang of it.
  • Integration with popular video/audio apps.
  • It allows me to quickly edit audio files and merge a collage of them together.
  • It allows for basic audio engineering for quality listening of the end product.
GarageBand has a vast library of sounds to select from, and this is the only advantage that Audacity doesn't have over GarageBand. But in terms of usability, Audacity shines. Audacity is far more intuitive than GarageBand, and thus, it's a no-brainer that I use it.
There is a ton of documentation and help articles online for Audacity. I've never wanted to accomplish something with this software, where I couldn't find out how. Though many of the articles are by the community and not the vendor, none-the-less, the support is phenomenal.

It's a great tool to use that I've grown to love over the years. I don't use anything else to edit my audio at this time. It's an excellent app that I don't have any suggestions for improvement.
