Overall Satisfaction with BDRSuite

It's pretty intuitive, easy to setup and get running. It is difficult to move your installation though, so choose your location wisely.
I use BDRSuite to backup several VMware hosts to local storage as well as pushing key backups to an S3 bucket.
  • Easily connect to Vcenter
  • Easily setup offsite cloud storage
  • Decent reporting of backup success / failure.
  • Licensing can be unclear
  • Proxmox support please
  • Stability improvements
An alternative to Veeam, which I was dissatisfied with. I tried many products, but this one has largely worked, and was affordable.
While some of these functions are locked behind paywalls, we have used the physical and virtual backup functions.

For small to mid size companies, BDRsuite is a viable alternative to Veeam. While lesser known, it has proven to be very functional and easy to setup.
