Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT

I use Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT to run reports, track project, debits and credits for several bank accounts, bank reconciliation

Pros

  • Runs fantastic reports
  • Ease of use from a user standpoint
  • Regions bank cards
  • Bank reconciliation
  • ease of deposits

Cons

  • bank info not loading completely. If i don't get everything from the bank feed , i ignore it all and do it manually. it's too much work if it doesn't all load. this happens regularly
  • the green dot of death is frustrating when it happens.
  • Running queries out of database view
  • It has really cut off an amazing amount of time when running reports as the information is there automatically after entering an invoice or deposit. Our old system was much more time consuming.
  • entering all information is far easier than it was in the past
I think it has made a big difference being able to set up controls and security. I appreciate that all of our projects and funds can house documentation and criteria
Departments are able to view their budgets and spending right away without having to ask for a report.
It's unreal the difference that Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT is compared to CYMA. Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT is quick and much more efficient , especially the day to day. Bank recs are insanely easier in Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT. The process time has been lessoned considerably.

I can easily run a ledger report with minimal effort. I feel as FENXT has moved from database to webview it was a little cumbersome. Mainly because it happened without much warning and little to no training on how to do specific things
