I used Board personally for dashboard generation as well as data analysis tool. As q data analyst working on a research project, some visualizations were needed in a short time period - hence I relied on Board to easily connect with the dataset in json format and quickly draw bar charts and other visualizations. Although it is not used by other team members, I rely on it for its stability and quick workflow.
- Easy to use web client.
- Multiple connectors for various data sources.
- Easy dashboard creation and exporting.
- The printing layout sometimes does not work properly. I usually use excel or pdf export and then print.
- Performance is not as quick. Sometimes it just lags when the dataset is huge.
- I used Board mostly on a personal level so I don't see the whole organization using it. However, I used it for data analysis tasks for my research projects which were incredibly useful given the time constraints. So a positive ROI would be time-saving due to the ease with which it could generate visualizations.
- It also provided some basic predictive analysis tools which could be used for replicating common ml algorithms right inboard. So it saved time on that as well.
