Overall Satisfaction with Budgyt

I was building the budget in Excell and I had to fill in each amount in the budget fields, which was very frustrating, time-consuming and with the risk of errors in the budget. In Budgyt, I got rid of this chore because I bring my amounts through imports from all the sources used for collecting information and I can focus more on analysis now.

Pros

  • It has well-developed import functionalities which facilitates importing from external sources, making it easier to complete the budget, regardless of the source of the data.
  • It has very flexible reporting possibilities, which makes it very efficient to analyze and present the budget, once the data has been imported or completed.
  • It has well-developed security and role management specifications for users, including an audit of user operations in the application, which ensures transparency in the way it works and facilitates the correction of any errors by the people who have a verification role in the platform.

Cons

  • My first impression was that there is no room for negotiation on the price that initially seemed a bit high to me, but it is the first budgeting application purchased, probably the advantages of the application will far exceed the initial purchase price.
  • Saving time is the first visible aspect. Time savings in terms of completion and reporting. The time saved can be used for collaboration, error elimination, and analysis for better decisions.
From my own experience, once the import templates are configured, in my case, the use of the application is very easy and intuitive, once the data is imported into the application, regardless of the volume of data.
In Excell it was very difficult to follow budgets by cost centers, almost impossible. Budgyt works with different departments, cost centers, divisions, legal entities within a group of companies. If you have a clear structure about how you want to work, it's very easy to implement in Budgyt.

In my case, the problem was that I had a lot of different data sources and I would bring this data into an Excell file and then build all kinds of spreadsheets and other files for various reports. Budgyt allows me to centralize this data in a much more efficient way than I did in excel, and the reports in Budgyt are very good and it saved me from the additional processing I was doing in Excell.
