Overall Satisfaction with Carbonite DoubleTake

DoubleTake is being used by the whole organization to provide HA to the critical ERP business systems.

Pros

  • Easy to set up.
  • Easy to manage.
  • Support has worked wonders assisting us with troubleshooting.

Cons

  • Overall functionality is good. I am good with the way it is now.
  • No negative impact, only positive. We have used in past the keep essential business systems up and running.
  • We use MIMIX for iSeries. and No other products for Windows / VMware
DoubleTake was recommended by our VisionSolutions partner, because we already using MIMIX.
Well suited for Windows, VMware and the like type of environments. Can be used for physical to physical, or physical to virtual. I probably would not go from virtual to physical environment, but I suppose it could be done if needed, depending on the situation.
