Overall Satisfaction with CCH® SureTax®
We put our data into Suretax and the system processes the data so that it can be mapped to Sales tax returns. Suretax also creates reports that help us reconcile the returns to our data.
- Maps data from geocodes to returns
- Helps organize filing jurisdictions and filing frequencies
- Stores reports
- Tax rate lookups are not user friendly. When we used STROL, that functionality was much easier on that platform
- Reports can be confusing as the total sales are redundant and we have to put filters in the data to get correct amounts
- Generating returns can be a confusing process. It is difficult to know when data has been loaded entirely and the Generate report tab is highlighted making you think it needs to be selected. This just begins a regeneration of the data and you must wait again for it to complete.
- Helps us file large Sales Tax Returns. Probably saves us 40 hrs month.
The decision to use CCH was made before my time with the company. I believe the decision was based reputation and reliability.
