The Cisco 9000 series platform is very well suited as distribution layer devices within our network. Its modular design and flexible licensing to add additional ports (including 10G/40G/100G) allows for a pay-as-you-grow approach to design. Having scalable licensing allows for this platform to be used even when cost needs to be lower for a network solution.
