We use Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) for our zero trust east west Data Centre solution, providing multi tenant secure access and policy control for major clients in dual Data Centre hosting environments.

- Contracts are complex
- Licensing is complex
- Configuration is complex
- Security is state of the art, we don’t need firewalls everywhere
- Automation is native, we don’t need to push CLI commands to multiple switches
- We do have to train our engineers to a high level, this is a complex solution
We save a significant time deploying additional leaf switches and pushing new policy to the tenants, what may have taken weeks previously can be achieved in hours.
We have a large infrastructure footprint, boarding an equivalent VXLAN environment would take hours for w new leaf switches, we can achieve the same in minutes without the risk of human error with templates and the central management from the APIC controller which in itself is fully resilient. All the complexity is abstracted allowing us to focus on the high level aspect of any change or addition.
