Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

They are used as access switches.

Pros

  • Switching
  • IOS configuration simplicity

Cons

  • Depends on cost, but bigger interface buffers would be handy or some preconfigured QOS for outbound traffic when traffic is going from higher output int to lower output int
  • Not sure here, maybe ROI is good for smaller learning curve as Cisco is known to many engineers
Not, we have only essentials license and there are limited functionalities.
We are using best practices as per Cisco documentation.
I'm familiar with this product, that is the reason for choosing it.
