Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

We are using the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches on Access nodes for Cisco SDA solution. We are connecting various devices as end hosts with Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches from which we are powering network devices such as IP phones, cameras, or wireless access points without additional power sources. These devices are high end devices that support Cisco StackWise technology, allow for the creation of a highly reliable and redundant network by connecting multiple switches in a stack. In short we are using this in a SDA solution to provide a fabric solution with in LAN environment with high end throughput.

We are using the SDA solution where features such as TrustSec for identity-based segmentation and MACsec encryption used. By enhancing security, organizations can safeguard sensitive data and maintain the integrity of their network infrastructure. On top of it, we are running the TE agent which helps to provide more analytics and information of in and out traffic to sorted out the issue related from the LAN side. As we are using Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC) to manage the solution, it simplifies the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices, contributing to streamlined operations and a more responsive IT environment.
The use of APIs on the DNAC to run information from the switches itself helps organisations to automate repetitive procedures, simplify workflows, and integrate network administration into wider IT processes. As we are using policy-based automation to define and enforce network policies which helps and simplifies network management by ensuring consistent configurations and adherence to security and compliance policies.
While using the fabric solution within the LAN and the next generation protocols, Cisco Catalyst Switches are a recommended choice for organisations that prioritise network security due to its robust security capabilities. TrustSec, MACsec, and other security procedures all help to maintain a strong security posture.

Their support for VXLANs, LISP, VLANs, PoE, and comprehensive security features aids in the management of many user groups and devices. The cost of Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches may be a limiting factor for small enterprises with limited budgets. Other suppliers' more affordable products may be preferred. Cloud-native solutions or switches with deeper cloud integration may be more suited in scenarios where a large portion of the infrastructure is in the cloud and on-premises networking is minimized.
