Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers

We are using this Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers to manage up to 5000 APs in our network and we use to have some issues when we are uploading 1000 APs at the same time do that the update is taking too long. The controller is only able to update 25 APs at the same time, How is it possible to select some APs in the list for the controller to set a priority to proceed?

  • Make sure you all APs are update
  • Keep all devices connected to the Controller update and secure
  • ACS-Embrace and Splunk Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
Splunk is very important for the troubleshooting of all issues. Dashboard can be set for more visibility.
It's a good product and we need to increase the efficiency and the performance in the retention of the data.

The function of IOS pre-download is a very function to gain time and preparation for running update. Problem providing update for OLD AP for example the 215 AP Series with the last Series in the same environment.
