Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst IE3400 Rugged Series Switches
Deploy Cisco Catalyst IE3400 Rugged Series Switches as part of the Cisco SD-Access solution, for cabinets with limited space where enterprise grade switches don't fit.
Pros
- Small form factor
- Integrate as part of Cisco SD-Access solution
Cons
- Only supported as policy extended node in Cisco SD-Access
- Small form factor
- SD-Access supported
- Zero touch deployment or simple script to provision
- Single system to configure and manage all switches
- TrustSec for micro segmentation
Cisco DNA Center is the single pane of glass for managing all switches. It also makes deployment and rolling out easier by automation. SD-Access supports SGT for micro segmentation, which is a feature really needed in IoT environments for control access among the endpoints.
We want to apply the least privilege for all devices, so any unwanted access needs to be denied, e.g., from a camera to a controller, etc.
Not used.
For certain cabinets where space is limited or industrial cabinets with harsh environments (dust, moisture, temperature), Cisco Catalyst IE3400 Rugged Series Switches are a good fit.
