Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN

Deploy Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN across the whole network, including branch sites, offices and Data Centres.

Pros

  • Single portal to manage all routers
  • Auto VPN is easy to deploy
  • Multi-tenancy support

Cons

  • The configuration process could be easier if possible
  • License could be tricky
  • Same policy set across all sites
  • Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN firewall rules are better than ACLs
  • Could be hard for new engineers to get used to
The solution does what it's expected. Once the initial policy sets are completed, it's relatively easy to roll out to new sites.
Meraki SD-WAN is overall simpler to deploy and manage, but don't have the features like multi-tenancy as in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN.
