Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

We use the 9500 series for core and distribution and 9200 for access layer. Network availability has been solid. We only have one issue with the core memory leak. I have since upgraded the ios to fix the bug.
  • Great performance and reliability
  • Power all the POE devices we throw at it.
  • Need more visibility and control included in purchasing price. Single dashboard for your network
  • Knowing we have Cisco switching provides relief and worry about network stability
I felt like we had more options and control with local administration for catalyst than meraki.

Do you think Cisco Catalyst Switches delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Cisco Catalyst Switches's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Catalyst Switches live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Catalyst Switches go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst Switches again?

Yes

Call quality. Being a hospital, we had a lot of call transfer and static problem going from on-prem to cloud solution.
The webex integration and options we love which allows our users to communicate from anywhere and receive calls that are important where ever they are.
We have these switches for core, distro and access layers. We also use the smaller switches in hard to reach areas the require less ports. Each has its purpose. We use 1000 series for benches and some other smaller areas of the hospital. As far as less appropriate for the 9000s is some areas we don't have controlled environment or air conditioned. Would recommend that environment these.
