Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches
We currently use the Cisco 3800 series switch as well as the Cisco 9000 series switches and Cisco 4000 series routers for the implementation of all network architectures in support of training and real world military operations.
- Easy to use.
- Extremely durable to weather (hot and cold)
- Easily transportable.
- Smaller devices are always preferred due to high mobility needs.
- Would benefit from having console cables provided with networking devices instead of separate purchase.
- Transit case options for larger devices would benefit and keep us from having to source outside vendors for support.
- As a network engineer, these tools are our weapons systems. It has allowed us keep our members informed through uninterrupted communications.
- Allows us to provide tactical communications which allows our commanders to make decisions at the edge.
- Positive communications in my line of work ultimately saves lives.
- Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000), Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches and Cisco 800 Series Industrial ISR (IR 800)
These family of devices work extremely well for our military operations. I am sure there are other devices that I am forgetting at the moment that we use along with these and all of them get the job done.
