Overall Satisfaction with Cisco DNA Center

The goal is to use DNAC for software upgrade automation and wireless assurance. We have hundreds of devices across several states, and it is not always possible to travel to each location to troubleshoot wireless in a timely manner. Any data we can receive from DNAC is a huge boon. With SWIM, we can push images quickly, and with little supervision. This frees up availability across the team.

Pros

  • Image management
  • Wireless assurance
  • Device inventory

Cons

  • Migration from Prime
  • SD-WAN integration
  • Automation
  • Scalable image management
Today we are running Prime along with DNA Center. Thankfully, Cisco does provide automated tools to migrate. however, it does not feel as if the two products have parity at this moment. I've noticed I juggle between the two to troubleshoot wireless issues and configure individual settings on our access points

Do you think Cisco Catalyst Center delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Catalyst Center's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Catalyst Center live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Catalyst Center go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst Center again?

Yes

We are looking forward to continuing to have a method of image management. Like with Prime, we enjoy having a pane of glass that provides a deeper dive for wireless troubleshooting. Our only wish is there was more integration with SD-WAN - we use Cisco's viptela solution and it does not recognize the devices very well
