Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Headsets
I use the Cisco 980 headset for my MS Teams calls and conferences. The headset meets the needs of customers who use softphones. The advantage of the Cisco 980 is that it covers the ears. It is therefore not painful for spectacle wearers, even after hours. What's more, in a Cisco environment, updates are more easily managed.
Pros
- Centralized update
- Comfortable
Cons
- Microphone quality
- Microphone range
- Centralized update management saves time
If you have a Cisco account (and use the Webex App, for example), it's simple: just plug in and it works! The headset is automatically recognized and registered in the Control Hub for the user. The dongle is also automatically recognized by the operating system. And updates are automatic and easy.
Audio quality for listening is good.Microphone quality is not. I've already had to change headphones during a meeting. I'm disappointed because the finish of the headset is good, as are the storage box and even the cables. I hope the microphone problem will one day be solved with an update.
I hardly ever use the application.
The design is better at Cisco. So is the audio quality for listening. Centralized updating is also a plus. But my Jabra Evolve2 85 has a much better microphone and range.
