Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki Dashboard

I resell Meraki products to SMB and enterprise customers. To provide small teams simplicity and resiliency of a centralized management platform I often recommend Meraki. This helps them ensure network uptime with minimal effort. The problems that this addresses is misconfiguration and training shortfalls. The teams can get up and running very quickly with these products.

Pros

  • Centralized Management and monitoring
  • Network Alerts
  • Template configurations

Cons

  • More detailed Event logs
  • Port profiles configurations are not shown at the individual port level, causing configuration confusion
  • 3rd party antenna support. Would be nice to manually configure antenna gain
  • Simple licensing model and co-term licensing
  • Ease of management
  • VPN not necessary for management and monitoring of network
The Cisco Meraki Dashboard is organized very well. Configuration options are only available for relevant products and features based on claimed hardware and licensing. The user-interface is easy to view and understand, making a great user experience.
