Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MR

The Meraki MR access points were used in all of our facilities across the globe to provide wifi access to all of our laptops, phones and many other wireless devices. In today's environment, this is absolutely 100% necessary for any business and wifi is heavily relied upon - even with people sitting at their desk. It is very easy to manage as a whole meaning we can troubleshoot wireless issues anywhere in the world from my house.
  • Cloud-managed - as all Meraki products are, very easy to manage.
  • Mesh technology allows clients to easily roam from one AP to another.
  • Very easy to add AP's, just get it online and add it to a network. Done.
  • Great tools to troubleshoot problems clients.
  • I wish the map would integrate more to show the neighboring AP's and their connection strength. I think they could produce better heat maps with this function.
  • I have found the strength of the AP's are quite as good as a regular Cisco non-Meriaki AP.
  • It can be problematic, as a global company, to physically move an AP to another country. There [are] some hoops to jump through.
  • They are reliable
  • Easy to manage, cloud-based
  • Some nice built-in troubleshooting tools
  • A business can't survive without Wifi coverage, Meraki MR's cover that.
  • In a retail store, we can offer free wifi to customers with a click of a button and make it very easy for them to join.
  • Some events for like a pop-up store or event, we just plug an MR in and it's good to go.
These products usually offer more features and control. Most of the time, they aren't necessary. The Meraki MR platform is simple and easy - it gets the job done and doesn't require much time or much of a learning curve.

Do you think Cisco Meraki MR delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Meraki MR's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki MR live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki MR go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki MR again?

Yes

I can't think of any scenario where a Cisco Meraki MR product is not well suited, maybe with the exception of a very large outdoor area. I have used them exclusively at the last 2 companies I've worked for and haven't quite come across a situation where they've hurt us. Whether it's an office building with 500-1000 people or hundreds of retail stores across the US. It scales very well.
