Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN

We are using Meraki SD-WAN at all 100+ locations. We needed to replace our high cost MPLS and show MetroE connections. With Meraki we were able to get speeds 10x more with broadband then our current connections for a fraction of the cost. Another concern was management of all the routes and acls we had with only two network admins. Meraki deployment is easy with templates. The templates also make any updates very simple.
  • Template based config.
  • Easy deployment.
  • Easy updates.
  • Some features only support can change, VPN controls.
  • Limited customization, Meraki model is simple and easy, customization/options and complexity.
  • Visibility with insight is extra.
  • Reduced connectivity costs.
  • Improved efficiency.
  • Lowered TTR.
Meraki is so easy to deploy we were doing it mid day without the stores even knowing, besides noticing the speed increase. With only two network admins and 100+ locations we had over 600+ acls to manage, with Meraki we have one site to site rule set to manage and four templates to manage.
Once your template is set up Meraki is easy to scale. Even creating the template is easy and I was able to learn enough in 4 hours to build, test, and deploy templates for our locations. Best part is you can stage your deployment by adding a unit to a template even before taking it out of the box.
Meraki was much simpler to use. Limited staff and time Meraki was the one we could learn quickly and start installing.

Meraki is great for a small team. Easy to depot and easy to manage. You might not get all the insight you need of the network but it does work.
