Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus Series Switches
This is our core datacenter switch, and all our traffic routes through it for internal and external traffic. We have it installed as a dual switch, so we have redundancy and a backplane between the two switches. We use copper and fiber connections to get the best throughput possible out of it.
Pros
- Handling multiple VLANs
- Security and segmentation of traffic
- Fiber and copper connections
Cons
- Cost is high
- Configuration can be lengthy
- Reduced downtime
- Higher throughput
- Redundancy
Cisco switches have worked a lot better then other brands and goes a very long time without any downtime. It is a top brand
