Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus Dashboard

I use Cisco Nexus Dashboard as a service access control tool as well as for the administration of services.
Through SaaS, we can easily access our infrastructure from anywhere. It is a very friendly tool [that] allows [us] to quickly solve problems, we can quickly obtain a summary [that] informs about the status of the various sites and infrastructure services. It is quite a tool that helps to quickly debug and resolve root cause issues

Pros

  • Monitor infrastructure helping to maintain high availability and operations from a single dashboard
  • customization of the graphical interface is excellent
  • The flexibility/goodness of installation since according to the need we can make different shapes either Saas, cloud, hybrid, etc.
  • automatic microburst detection

Cons

  • at the moment I don't see any disadvantages
  • From the experience of use, I can affirm that the tool improves the user experience since it reduced the time in the administration of the infrastructure, the prediction of events, as well as the suggestions for solving the problems.
  • all the aforementioned has been simplified thanks to the tool, in turn, it helps us to maintain the network in high availability.
  • The impact has been very positive due to the simplification of the administration, which in turn reduces the detection times, leading to a reduction in costs.

Automatic microburst detectionMicrobursts are bursts of traffic that appear in a very short period of time. These microbursts can buffer an interface's output and drop packets. They are very difficult to detect, but NI does it easily.

Cisco Nexus Dashboard Reliability

Provides the feeling of security since you have a large number of statistics at hand that help you quickly debug and solve root cause problems
Because we have seen how the tool provides great visibility on the data plane, although it is true that it can do much more, such as providing interface statistics, displaying CRC and FCS events, among others. It can also offer us statistics and anomalies on routing protocols, errors in BGP, OSPF, CDP, LACP sessions, Multicast or access ports, port channels, or virtual port channels, among others.
