Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Routers
- Cisco ISR 4000 Series
We use ISR throughout all of our sites for WAN access, VOIP services, and compute. The compute supports a third party SD-WAN overlay for WAN acceleration.
- Usable, known interface.
- Reliable
- Abundant port options
- Thermal management and sound.
- Throughput to cost ratio
- Licensing costs can add up
- They last beyond the planned life cycle
- They have few problems
I like to have as much in the Cisco stack to simplify troubleshooting, especially for our IPT environment.
We do not currently use the security features.
I have not used other routers.
