Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall
It's a very good product, it's relatively inexpensive. The subscription cost is also lower.
However, there are numerous issues with the product, indicating it's not as
mature as other options. We work with other vendors and have used other firewalls,
but this one has many problems, including minor issues where functionality
suddenly stops without any apparent reason. Often, simply deleting and
recreating a policy resolves the issue.
There are also problems. For instance, despite having a
default route, traffic doesn't go through until we created a specific route,
which doesn't make sense. Although the product has improved over the past five
years, it still has persistent issues that shouldn't exist.
In contrast, my experience with other vendors has been much
smoother. Over a long period, I've only needed to open three to four support
cases in a year. However, with Cisco Secure Firewall, even five years ago at a
different company, we had to open four to five cases per week.
One thing I really appreciate is the excellent support that
Cisco provides, which other companies don't. Cisco TAC engineers promptly jump
on calls instead of exchanging emails and asking for more details, which wastes
time. They strive to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Pros
- Overall, everything else is working fine. As I mentioned, it's a good product. It's cost-effective and offer a lot of features and functionalities.
Cons
- In terms of functionality, it's not lacking anything. However, in terms of maturity and behavior, it needs some improvement. While it has all the functionalities found in other products, it could benefit from becoming more refined.
- Overall I would say the best support and saving CapEx, operation expenses, everything.
