Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cisco Spaces is a great tool for locating wireless/BLE assets in and around your facilities. It can be used for tracking room occupancy and trends as well.

Cisco Spaces Applications

We've really only used the asset locator, the rest of these tools are on a level we haven't reached yet in our journey.

Our facilities were never closed, so this question is not applicable.

Cisco Spaces and Catalyst Center are purpose-build for each other and using one without the other is less than ideal. Tracking locations and maps from within Catalyst Center enables seamless endpoint tracking without ever leaving the UI that staff are already familiar with.

If your organization used Cisco Prime Infrastructure in the past in conjunction with the mobility services engine then Cisco Spaces is a perfect replacement. It's a great tool to assist in the tracking of people and wireless assets, so no more hunting around for a missing laptop or portable phone.
