Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are still very early in our deployment, but we have over 100 customers and this has already proven to be a GEM of a product. We have already been able to demonstrate to customers using Cisco ThousandEyes that many variables impact user experience besides the network!

Pros and Cons

Pros

Using the end point agents does a great job of providing the path that a clients traffic takes
We have been able to isolate server application bottlenecks

Cons

I have not spent much time in Cisco ThousandEyes, and just getting started with the dashboards is not exactly intuitive.

Return on Investment

A real positive impact is that we can issue our customers their own tenet log in information and issue them some end point agents and they can do some preliminary troubleshooting before ever reaching out to us.

I have not used it much, but a peer on my team was able to use Cisco ThousandEyes to demonstrate to a customer who was complaining about network slowness that the laptop image and hardware they were deploying to their users simply did not have enough resources and was causing all kinds of slowness issues.
