Overall Satisfaction with Cisco UCS Series
UCS C-Series is being used by our organization as a multi-tenanted cloud platform. It allows us to deliver cloud solutions to our various customers at scale and with the dependability that comes with all Cisco solutions. The advanced management capabilities allow us to build and maintain a reference design with minimal effort.
- Dependability - the UCS C-Series servers have never failed or faltered since installation.
- Ease of maintenance due to packaged updates.
- Ability to manage the environment with standards, allowing reference architectures to be deployed.
- Integration between Prime and UCS C-Series has caused several problems.
- Ease of management definitely lowers the overall cost of ownership and helps to justify the relatively high initial outlay.
Not specifically for the BX series, but there wasn't a general category! The Fujitsu and Cisco solutions are very comparable, highly dependable solutions that never seem to fail. Fujitsu probably had the edge on cost, but Cisco definitely has the edge on integration and ease of coherent management.
