Overall Satisfaction with Citrix Workspace

Citrix Workspace is an essential program to ensure that we can implement a decentralized virtual desktop infrastructure to support our daily lab work. Citrix allows us to launch the VDI environment we currently utilize via Sharp Healthcare and ricoh-USA allowing us remote access to our LIS platforms. The flexibility makes it such that our employees can work from home effectively, our doctors are able to access their daily cases from various different locations, and within the lab itself our uses are able to jump to different workstations and continue work without disruption.
  • Simple and straightforward ease of access
  • Responsive and quick
  • Adaptable in various work environments
  • Additional functionality within the workspace environment
  • Better documentation of existing features within full/lite versions
  • Accessibility

  • Has allowed for greater productivity with WFH options
  • Allowed us to deploy more versatile workflows with our doctors

LigoLab LIS & RCM Operating Platform
We've been using Citrix Workspace to access our VDI environment(s) for years now and haven't ran into any issues. It has been an essential service for our lab staff and has had even greater utility in the last two years with more WFH work due to the pandemic. Being able to present our employees and doctors with the means to complete work remotely, wherever they may be, as long as they have access to CW has been huge. If you have dedicated workspaces that contain all programs and tools necessary to complete daily work, CW lets you de-centralize workstations and deploy greater flexibility for access options. If you want to implement shared folders/drives within an environment, without altering a local network infrastructure, Citrix will allow you to utilize that through any VDI you want to run.

I don't think it's very useful in a dedicated network infrastructure ala hospital system or huge corporation, but it will be most useful in any workspace that demands versatility for access.

Using Citrix Workspace

50 - Our lab staff and pathologists use Citrix Workspace on a daily basis to complete lab work ranging from the accessioning of new orders to the final diagnosis on patient cases.
There isn't really a need to support Workspace; it's an application we use to launch our VDI environments that rely upon it.
