Citrix Workspace

We've been using Citrix Workspace to access our VDI environment(s) for years now and haven't ran into any issues. It has been an essential service for our lab staff and has had even greater utility in the last two years with more WFH work due to the pandemic. Being able to present our employees and doctors with the means to complete work remotely, wherever they may be, as long as they have access to CW has been huge. If you have dedicated workspaces that contain all programs and tools necessary to complete daily work, CW lets you de-centralize workstations and deploy greater flexibility for access options. If you want to implement shared folders/drives within an environment, without altering a local network infrastructure, Citrix will allow you to utilize that through any VDI you want to run.

I don't think it's very useful in a dedicated network infrastructure ala hospital system or huge corporation, but it will be most useful in any workspace that demands versatility for access.

Citrix Workspace is great to use for intermittent remote work. I still prefer my full system in an office though because of the confusing and difficult time with saving things locally or in pdf form.

The connection between Citrix Workspace and Webex is tough to manage in my opinion. If I am on a Webex call, for example, I sometimes have to log out of Citrix Workspace in order to be able to use both Webex and Excel to view documents on that call. I wish it were seamless.

Citrix Workspace is no doubt one of the best solutions if you are looking for seamless access to multiple daily used applications at a single place in a company secured connection. It has centralized updates and a patching mechanism which makes it operate hassle-free. If you are using AWS cloud in your company and big fan of it, you can also go for Amazon Workspaces for a uniform ecosystem.

Whenever you need remote access to environments where security is a must, Citrix Workspace is a solution. It is a reliable tool that enables a digital, remotely accessible workspace with high security (multiple factor authentication, encryption). The product receives frequent updates.

Citrix Workspace is well suited as a dashboard for the variety of software and applications that relate to the various functions of our department. It seems secure and simple to navigate, which I appreciate as someone who handles sensitive information.

It is a great program to access programs/servers remotely without needing to have any other programs installed or used on your computer.

So if I talk about well suited scenario then I must say it has a well secured environment for accessing companies or client database, secondly it has no time restriction if you have proper credentials.

Now talking about less appropriate so I can say that if sometime your internet connectivity is slow Workspace might get disconnected and you have to log in again.

Feasibility- given in current situation, it facilitates work from home norm.
In terms of security, the Citrix Workspace has an upper hand, the regular updates add to its value. Talking about negatives, the very few options for customization, also requirement of high speed for getting connected to the virtual environment and last but not the least automatic logout sometimes , these are the areas where there is scope of improvement.
