Overall Satisfaction with Classy
We use Classy as our payment processor and fundraising tool. Classy has allowed us to mobilize our community through peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, our main donation page, individual links for board soliciting and tracking, and (eventually) event ticketing. The platform allows us to easily brand pages that look incredible and communicate different needs for specific campaigns. There is also an email platform built-in for specific campaign solicitation, but we only use the email receipt feature. It is highly customizable depending on individual campaign/fundraising needs.
- Peer to peer fundraising / crowdfunding campaigns = new donors.
- Highly customizable and brand-able.
- Ease of use on the backend (tracking/reports/donor info).
- Classy is easy to use but could offer more flexibility by giving a coding option for more advanced users.
- Some templates (like internal receipts) are unable to brand/change.
- Would love a specific campaign type for recurring donors.
- Peer to peer/crowdfunding options.
- Ease of salesforce integration.
- Beautiful, branded, custom pages can be easily created and maintained.
- For our first peer-to-peer campaign, we gained over 100 new donors - the most in our history for a single campaign.
- Fees on Classy are HIGH - do the math on how many of your donors cover fees, and how high they are likely to go when choosing a plan.
- We are saving hours of administrative time with the direct Salesforce integration.
In the past, we used Click and Pledge which was super customizable (if you knew how to code) and pretty simple. It was lacking in the peer-to-peer/crowdfunding areas and was TERRIBLE on the support side, which we realized we needed fairly often. Classy was more expensive but alleviated a lot of problems for us.
