Overall Satisfaction with Codecademy from Skillsoft

Codecademy helps me to brush up on skills that I have not used in a while engineering wise. For instance, recently I was tasked with building a python script to automate some excel sheet tracking of certain emails that are received. Codecademy helped tremendously here to help me get started on the basic python fundamentals needed to approach this task
  • Provides a very user friendly UI allowing for almost anyone to intuitively use the platform without many or any hiccups
  • Uses well-sourced teaching techniques to reinforce learning like spaced repetition
  • Allows and encourages self-paced learning so the individual can go as or as slow as they need
  • Would be nice to have a wider array of deep dives into different topics instead of a breadth focused approach
  • The paid version is too expensive given the price its asking for
  • Needs more of a community in order to facilitate learning and allow users to ask questions and get timely responses to the problems they encounter
  • Accessibility and ease of use
  • Practical teaching methods that will appeal to many
  • Nice coverage of introductory topics with good teaching examples
  • It helped me accelerate my learning of python
  • Built a company script off the learnings of codecademy

Do you think Codecademy from Skillsoft delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Would you buy Codecademy from Skillsoft again?

No

If you need to brush up on some topics I think that's an excellent use case. However, if there is a need for deep learning into any topic I would probably recommend a another resource that would go more in depth because the platform is more intuitive from a as you go quick learning style
