Easy implementation & perfect for our growing Finance function
Overall Satisfaction with Cube
We have implemented Cube as the FP&A team across the wider commercial Finance team at our organisation to help us to take control of our management data. It is supporting is across the full scope of our work in FP&A - reporting actuals, budget and forecasting. Cube is enabling us to have a reliable historical source of management information, which is a huge time-saver and helping us to focus on trend analysis. In addition, we are able to actualise our forecasts via a system rather than complicated, error-prone Excel formulas which opens up much deeper insight to our performance as a business.
Pros
- Easy & quick implementation with outstanding customer support
- Exceptional compatibility with Excel allows for much easier training and adoption by the business
- Built with the FP&A & Finance user in mind
Cons
- Additional flexibility in Excel reporting (although the product team regularly release new functionality)
- More data formatting options available in the add-in (e.g. retrieving data in thousands or as a %)
- Huge time-saver due to providing one accurate source for our forecasts, with a vast amount of granularity available
Cube has an easier implementation and functionality is appropriate, quick-to-learn and a perfect match for an organisation of our scale and growth. There is less flexibility in the reporting & formatting in-built in Cube, and it's a far way off the in-built modelling functionality of Anaplan - however, it leverages Excel and G-sheet full functionality, meaning it's a perfect tool for organisations heavily reliant on Excel that aren't looking to migrate users to a new system with extensive training required.
