Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dashlane is a password vault that helps me maintain the security of my passwords and share them securely with staff who need them.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Securing my passwords.
Sharing my passwords when I need to do so.
Providing both business and personal password keeping.

Cons

WAY too often, Dashlane won't load. I can clear cache but that doesn't help. Dashlane says I have to uninstall and reinstall to fix this issue.
Dashlane does not reliably sync from device to device. The process of forcing sync has never worked for me, and it has been a time-suck.
Dashlane prevents Google from automatically saving passwords, so when it doesn't work, which is several times PER WEEK, I am stuck trying to get it to load in a different browser, or on a different device, or appeal to my old style Word doc.

Improved security.
Good process alignment across the team.

Usability

Google does it better because it never fails to load, unlike Dashlane, but it doesn't share when I need to share with team members.

Yes - Old style Word doc, not secure even though it was password protected, plus each team maintained their own.

When it works, it's great because it saves passwords when I update them and retains the history of password changes, which is super helpful when I accidentally update one!
