Overall Satisfaction with Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room

We use Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room on merger and acquisition transactions where a party needs to host vast quantities of data and files for the counterparty to review. As is typical for data room purposes, we would also look for a question and answer feature so that the buyer can raise questions for the seller to answer.

Pros

  • Folders and subfolders which can contain vast quantities of data in an organised fashion
  • An easy to use question and answer feature with threads which can be used for follow up questions
  • a dashboard which allows users to sort questions by different categories or filters

Cons

  • the search function for Q&A could be improved so that follow up questions and answers can be searched for as well (not just the original question)
  • It allows us to manage and track our due diligence easily so we can get the work done in an efficient manner.
It is very user friendly with an easy to use interface.
Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room has tended to have the easiest layout but the others are also functional.

I have found large scale M&A transactions but also smaller projects to have benefitted from the use of Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room thanks to its useability, functionality and practicality.
