In logistics information makes the difference - knowing exactly what, where, when and how much is crucial. Having that data available in real-time is important and data safety and security are essential. IBM Db2 for i is our central database system for all business critical information. From operations to finance, we store everything in Db2 for i.

The one most valuable feature of Db2 for i is Integration - the database is fully integrated into the operating system - and integrated into the application languages - no need to integrate yourself - that's already done.
Having all data in one place - available anytime!
Db2 for i SQL is much more standard compliant than SQL Servers dialect. And with Visual Explain its much easier to optimize SQL queries for optimal performance.

Highly standard conformant SQL, native applications with embedded SQL, web services, XML, JSON, full text search engine, OLAP, data integrity and advances security. And all this fully integrated into the operating system IBM i - without any additional setup or administration.
