Overall Satisfaction with Db2
Db2 is used for all our major databases and recently with TSA to Pacemaker upgrades, we are facing downtimes during any maintenance activity or other hadr issues.
Pros
- Db2 is suited for high volumes and mission critical applications
- It works well with Qreplication
Cons
- Db2 LUW Qreplication can be improved for monster transactions
- Q Replication will require pacemaker configuration as TSA is going to be depreciated soon
- Db2 LUW - haven't used any automation provided by IBM.
- Have scope to utilize automation for Database upgrades/migrations with minimal/no downtime for critical databases
