Overall Satisfaction with Diligent One Platform

well we where really lost at the beginning, But my feeling is that where was berry little hearing out problems and helping solve them and more cookie cutter training. That forced us to eliminate all we had done and redo the whole implementation a year later. By the we had a better understanding of the tool and of what we wanted to accomplish. But I do think that could have been prevented from the beginning
I Currently Use Diligent One to manage my Audit and mitigation plans, I use it to manage the companies controls and how they link, I use ACL to manage data gathering for audits. I Use compliance maps to link to our certification criteria and I am currently trying to use Risk Manager to manage te companies Risks

Pros

  • It is very flexible in what to start with and how to grow
  • It is very complete on all the solutions available
  • It is extremely integrated between modules
  • It Is easy to integrate in with other platforms

Cons

  • Communicating new tools and improvement to current tools
  • The product names are confusing, There are different names for similar things
  • The visualization tools are not as good as tools dedicated for that it is not clear when to use one or another
  • the licencing for compliance scripts is complicated especially in countries outside US
  • Main benefit has been the integration of compliance from different countries into one management tool
  • We have been able to to double our coverage with the same amount of people
  • we have been able to integrate all certification, legal compliance, Operational compliance and Risk auditing into one coherent strategy
We are not implemented Risk Management at the fullest right now. We are doing this bottom up. We have created the risks that audit are looking for and from there we area restructuring the Risks of the organization qut management and the board. SO I dont have allot of information on this a t this point
The tool is extremely rigid in its definitions. We tried to implement it for almost a year and nothing happen. One time a team member made a mistake and uploaded a wrong list risks to it was not possible to eliminate any of them we had to take the database down, erase everything and start all over. DIligent One is very manageable on that front

We are very happy with the tool, especially the flexibility> it was very easy for us to start with audits which we already do and move to controls and Risks from there. Most other tools try to force a methodology on you. It is very well suited for companies that want to start somewhere and grow from there
