Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

Our company uses DraftSight daily for our granite fabrication company. DraftSight is a very user-friendly CAD program that is very comparable to the AutoDesk softwares but at a much more affordable price. The commands are the same as any other program, so using keyboard commands is seamless. It is very helpful that files can be saved in later CAD versions if you are running other older softwares that require this function.

  • Ability to make many layers for distinguishing between different drawing elements
  • I can't think of anything that I would have done differently in the software
  • Makes slab layouts easier
  • Helps to make sure we don't order more materials than needed
  • Affordable cost compared to other CAD software
DraftSight is great when used in a construction application. It has the ability to be used for many trades but construction and manufacturing seems to be where is would best be used. The ability to use different layers in different colors is very helpful to see all elements of a drawing.
