Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

I use Draftsight when I work from home.We have AutoCAD in the office, but I needed a reliable, 100% AutoCAD compatible CAD program at home. I find it operates virtually the same as 2D AutoCAD, using the same keyboard and text commands.
  • Super Trim! This function alone is worth the price of admission.
  • Very configurable
  • 100% DWG compatibility
  • Light weight on system resources
  • Get rid of the annoying floating dimension pallet! It gets in the way all the time!
  • Provide for a raw leader with no text automatically. I just want a pointy arrow!
  • I can afford to use it at home. Huge savings over AutoCAD Light.
  • Negative--I can only use it on one machine. I run three at home and have two tablets.
Low investment cost, completely DWG compatible, less intensive consumption of system resources.

Suited for everything 2D. Not a 3D CAD.
