DraftSight has performed well both in its free-to-try form and in the pay-as-you-go model. One criticism of DraftSight for small firms is the lack of flexibility in having one license usable on multiple computers. Small users often need to do development at the office on a desktop and still need to use the software in the field for changes or doing "as-built" modifications.
