Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight
It is used by my Engineering Dept. As it is a CAD software package it does not address any business problems rather it is used to create 2D CAD drawings.
- 2D drawings
- Cable, Harness drawings
- Automation Controls drawings
- Subscription is too expensive
- Perpetual license is locked to a network, thus limiting remote access
- Future versions should include use of macros
- The move to an expensive paid subscription has us looking for other cost effective options.
I have used Autocad and Nanocad. Draftsight appears to be a near clone of those software packages however Draftsight does not seem to offer the option to create Macros.
