Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our company we use DraftSight for the visualization and editing of CAD documents, it offers us an alternative to more expensive solutions for the departments where the use is not intensive, without losing the functionality. It is a low resource consumption solution, with an affordable price, which allows the sales department to have full access to 2D CAD including editing of layouts and P&iD.

Good price tag, good functionality, good compatibility.

Likelihood to Recommend

DraftSight is especially well adapted to environments where we do not have an ecosystem based on other brands, or where the ecosystem is based on Dassault Systems (Catia, SolidWorks, etc.). Therefore, in environments with diverse operating systems (Linux, Mac and Windows support) where we do not require a 3D edition or where the edition is made with DS software, it will be a sure success for its affordable price and functionality.

There is no scenario where I would not recommend it.
