Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

We currently use DraftSight our design and development departments for editing and creating all our 2D CAD drawings, including floorplans and component production drawings for CNC machining. It's simple to use and very adaptable, at a lower price point than some competing software programs.

Pros

  • Simple to use
  • Can open and convert various file types
  • Relatively low cost

Cons

  • Converting to PDF could be easier
  • Simplifying default text sizes etc in dimensioning
  • Good
Great for editing 2D plans and drawings. Although it has some 3D capabilities I'm not entirely sure what these are or how to use them.
