Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dundas BI to create and develop high performing reports which we deliver to end users. Yes, It is being used by our R & D team.

It is used as a tool to analyze, monitor and solve the quality related issues of teleservice providers.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Easy to develop and manage reports.
Look and Feel is better than other BI tools in the market.
It is easy to integrate the scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, PHP etc., in the reports to perform various dynamic tasks which are otherwise difficult to implement in the BI tool.
Re-Visualizing the data in the form of the table|Bar Chart|Stacked Chart|Map etc., is very easy and switching it back is just one click.
Auto-save functionality of the reports is an add-ON with the enhanced security features.

Cons

Present version is the Windows platform dependent, It should have the Unix version also since Unix is a widely used OS across industries.
It should have a feature to schedule the export of the 'Project'. As of now, we have to manually export the reports/projects.
Integrating too many JS makes it little unresponsive and doesn't show the correct data, We have to clear the cookies/cache to bring it back in functional mode. The robustness should be improved further.
