Overall Satisfaction with e-automate

At the company where I work, we use e-automate on a day to day basis, using the application to record sales and shipments, provide contracts to clients, and to keep track of company inventory. E-automate addresses a lot of the difficulties that come with keeping track of sensitive equipment (of both bulk and exclusive quantities) and it allows for the processing of payment for sales orders as well as tracking shipping status.

Pros

  • Clear receivables panel for taking and applying payments
  • Efficient shipping system within the application
  • Intuitive sale interface

Cons

  • Discrepancy between contract payments and sales order payments
  • set/release on hold function is unusual and unintuitive
  • Bloated amount of unnecessary tabs which can be accessed through easier methods
  • High security
  • Reduced work bookkeeping
  • Some difficulties with expired cards
Our organization relies heavily on e-automate's contract management features, since there are many clients (new and old) coming and going. We have been able to utilize it to create the bulk of revenue for our business. Unfortunately, sometimes e-automate's contract system does not always hold up, and we need to make manual entries or edit things which requires a considerable amount of effort.
Having one system for a variety of workflows, such as inventory, accounting, service, and contracts, has had a positive impact on our organization. Since there is no need to link between applications, e-automate simplifies the process by removing any middlemen. This means that updates have an immediate effect, unlike going through multiple services.
We use this in tandem with e-automate, however e-automate does tend to have more surface-level features which can be easy to use at a moment's notice, unlike GMS which often takes a lot of time and can have a more unintuitive login process while not being considerably more secure for all that effort.

Do you think e-automate delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with e-automate's feature set?

Yes

Did e-automate live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of e-automate go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy e-automate again?

Yes

E-automate is well suited for simple tasks but fails at more complex ones due to a lack of complexity as well as limited resources for learning/understanding what might be wrong. Additionally, I have not had much luck with e-automate support when I have had tech issues. Easy for simple things, but complex tasks might require a more intuitive interface.
