Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Eloqua

We utilized Eloqua for all campaign deployment. The robust scoring options allow us to customize results for each customer and campaign. Defining the goal of each campaign and then showing the customer how Eloqua can give them the data to evolve future marketing efforts sets this software apart.

Pros

  • Customer Community's willingness to share insights and successes is second to none.
  • Seamless integration to SalesForce.
  • The ability to manage multiple companies campaigns.

Cons

  • Great strides have been made in the ease of use, however there are still some features that are hard to use. For example, sending specific results to sales people.
  • Training is expensive. I find that the Customer Community is my best resource.
  • The cost is prohibitive for many companies. it is worth it, but still difficult in this economy.
  • Utilizing a marketing automation system makes a client create a more strategic plan. And keeps them on task. It is an invaluable tool
  • It can be a challenge to implement each of the scoring factors to gain the results wanted unless the plan is well thought out.
Eloqua is a much more robust platform. The unlimited data functionality is very valuable especially starting with a very broad campaign.
1. Will you dedicate a person to run it. Very important to invest in training as well.
