Overall Satisfaction with EMS Software

EMS is used by many different groups on campus including the Registrar, Athletics, Performing Arts and Auxiliary & Event Services. All groups use if for their specific needs including scheduling classes/exams, reserving athletic/performance/meeting spaces, and using it as a daily schedule for managing spaces

Pros

  • Offers lots of information on specific events
  • Connects all users on campus
  • Offers room card options for paper signs
  • Powerful query tool for various reports

Cons

  • Offer addition digital room sign parameters for more customization
  • Invoice system has forced us to use another application for our needs
  • Allowing for a large user base and a web user base
I have never used another software. EMS was implemented before my hire and we are happy with it. We haven’t had to research other options
EMS is so flexible when it comes to number of users, number of spaces, etc. There is always the capability to expand to growing needs
Some things can be too complicated. It took me a lot of hands-on trial and error to figure some things out. You can never have too much configurability, but it can be daunting to learn it all
EMS works great for managing our meeting spaces from the date of booking through the end of the event. The invoicing system is not as user friendly as other applications
